Uncle Rick’s Story
The story of Uncle Rick’s bars began after my dad had heart surgery. He had to have healthier snacks that were all natural, low in sugar, sodium and saturated fat and without cholesterol. I could not find snacks that met all of these requirements and tasted any good, so I decided to make my own.
I simply needed a snack made from real stuff and I spent months refining my recipe to meet my requirements and satisfy my dad! I finally determined that fresh roasted nuts were the secret; they allowed me to have a great tasting bar without adding large amounts of saturated fat, refined sugar, or sodium.
My dad loved them, and soon friends and family were asking me for their own bars – after trying them first response was usually “oh my goodness, these are great.” So everyone could enjoy my bars I created Uncle Rick’s omg! bars in four delicious and nutritious flavors.
